Gener8 uses a process based on 3D reconstruction and projection for 3D stereoscopic conversion. No other technique can deliver guaranteed quality across a wide variety of shots, which is why we’ve built our entire G83D stereoscopic fx conversion process and toolset on this system. We work in true 3D . We reconstruct a virtual 3D set of the environment, actors and effects. We then animate 3D stereo cameras and project the original shot onto our virtual set. This takes the guesswork out of spatial relationships and means that complex stereoscopic visual effects and hair shots have natural volume and depth, with no artifacts.
